RICE OIL
Oryza sativa bran oil
Cosmetic function
Used in Japan for centuries, rice oil is obtained by pressing rice bran and is valued for its high content in unsaponifiable substance (sterols and triterpenic alcohols), natural tocopherols (vitamin E), tocotrienols and gamma-oryzanol. Thanks to its perfectly balanced composition oleic, linoleic and palmitic acid and vitamin E, rice bran oil is particularly suited to fighting skin ageing and for its skin emollient, moisturising and smoothing power.
Description
Oryza sativa is an annual herbaceous plant belonging to the Gramineae family, originating from Asia and Africa. It is never taller than 80-100 cm and its thick, fibrous roots are partially submerged in water.
Notes
Rice bran oil contains high concentrations of gamma-oryzanol, a natural filter against UVA radiations which cause photo ageing, the formation of free radicals and the appearance of wrinkles and marks on the skin.
